book review.jpgWelcome to the web site of Elizabeth Wallace.

Elizabeth was born in England and educated at the Marley School for Girls. She is a member of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists in London, and the Denver Woman’s Press Club in Colorado. In 1978, she immigrated to America and settled in Kansas City with her husband and three young sons. She began her writing career in 1994 after submitting an idea for a show to Walt Bodine a legendary personality on KCUR, National Public Radio’s affiliate in Kansas City. The live show, The Origins of Everyday Sayings began as a onetime program, but it was so successful, it became a monthly feature. Elizabeth and two professors from UMKC made up the panel, which became known as the Word Mavens.

Elizabeth is very active in the community giving presentations, workshops and book signing events. As founder member of the Castle Rock Writers, she continues to give support and encouragement to the group, as well as attending critique groups and workshops. She has appeared several times on television to promote and market her books.

Elizabeth has written and had published six books on travel and history. Forbidden is her first novel.
